So last night, it appears some guy, who I assume was drunk, and driving a bicycle failed at driving by the Expedition and instead caught the side of it.

Big rubber streak from the handlebars, and three dents in the rear drivers-side door.

I used a hair dryer and some air duster propellant to remove the bottom two dents (effectively) but but the top dent, which is about 6" long and about 3" high, appears to not to want to come out. It came out a bit in the middle, but there are still two noticeable depressions on either side. It is on the very top of the door, just below the window trim. Likely where his shoulder hit.

Guess that'll teach me for leaving it parked on the road.

Any tips?

Yes, I don't know any however.

It works. That's what the hair dryer/CO2 trick replicates. I ran out of CO2 unfortunately. I think it is the location of the dent that is problematic. The bottom two came right out.

Find the best auto body shop in your area and go through them. Might cost $80 each, but its worth it.

OK, I'll do some calling around.

It's how I did it, and the dents that were on my 82 300CD have no sign of existance.

I was worried about 30 year old paint (and who knows how old the dents were) geting cracked or messed up but it looks like new.

What's the verdict?

He said he can't remove the top dent because it is right on the "box" seam for the window sill.

I will have to get it pulled/filled. Which sucks.

He recommended a guy for this, so I'm getting in touch with him shortly.

I'm very anal about my vehicles. All of them. I will see this dent every time I look at the truck. I have to get it fixed, or it'll drive me nuts.

I've always tried to keep the truck in good shape:

I'm the same way, so don't feel bad. I have a few dings on mine, but I've pushed most of them out, if possible. Having a dent on the seam like you described is definitely the worst. What's the price for fixing?

Won't know until next week most likely. The guy is really busy.

Already called him and he looked at it. Because the one dent happened on the "beam" across the top of the door, the metal is actually bent. He said the dent will have to be pulled out and there will be some light filler used if that is the case.

That's in very fine shape; I'd be annoyed, too. When I had my 1990 Town Car, it was in fine condition, too. My little episode was a neighbour kid driving an ATV into the driver's side front fender. I wasn't impressed, either.
