Didn't want to try and lift it out so got some scrap lumber and slid it down. Will see if putting it back is much harder.
I used to remove the 2nd-row seats in our Odyssey for add'l space, cleaning, etc and those suckers were heavy ! They're not balanced at all either if you leave the seat-back up so I learned to fully fold them over. These particular seats would fold parallel which was even better but front seats I'm sure will never do that. How old are you.![]()
Age has nothing to do with it. I hurt my back in my 20s trying to lift a cylinder head.
So how are you moving it.....now that it's out of the vehicle ? Are you taking it in to be fixed ?Age has nothing to do with it. I hurt my back in my 20s trying to lift a cylinder head.
Probably easier out of the vehicle though. No car roof in the way, so easier to lift properly and all.You still had to bend over, manipulate and pick it up at some point I would think.

Lot easier tipping and jostling the seat around to get it on the ramp than lifting a 50 pound bulky seat straight up with your back bent over. You still had to bend over, manipulate and pick it up at some point I would think.
In 40 years that’s me!
You ignored post #7.Have a young stud do the lifting for you. Give him a cold one or some $$ for helping. Installing is harder.
