as some might know Airvoice was bought out a bit ago + theres issues with their site as well as contacting them. today several places that refills many providers "popped" up + wondering if anyone uses these? today i tried WirelessRefill.com as they looked legit HOPEFULLY!

Airvoice is a great value for a VERY light user like myself so i will wait out the issues unless they shut down. did not notice on my e-mail from wirelessrefills first time user gotta call in, i like that + will do today + report back

callingmart dot com has also been around forever.

Sometimes these services are still sold in physical stores, especially convenience stores and bodegas. That was how most MVNOs got started before everyone was online.

never new about MVNO's until this forum + to that i say THANKS, refills from "others" is also new to me, old guy learning new tricks SLOWLY!! i called wirelessrefills.com as directed + got a human that got everything sorted so my airvoice acct is good for now until their web gets functional. i got a human from airvoice yesterday + got a code to reset my log in but without explicit instructions i had no luck, my fault somewhat as i never asked because i was excited getting connected, so give it another go when i can set + wait while puttering around the phone

when I had a plan like that I used callingmart. They had a loyalty program and discount coupons, and a service that would dial the provider and apply the card to your account automatically, instead of having to input the code yourself.

Now I have an annual prepaid plan with ATT and just pay them flat $300 per year, and call it a day.

Wirelessrefill has perks as well + refills most automatically except AirVoice as they are resetting after being bought out + unless i learn how + use Pics- data billed per use i pay about $4 a month or about $50 yearly as a very light user as i only use when REALLY necessary 10 a min text or talk + have a safer no EMF's land line for this computer + my home phone. i consider the my TV service the biggest waste + have turned it OFF in summer months but enjoy sports etc as the weather gets cold + snowey

You can cut that almost in half if you want with RedPocket's $30 a year T-mobile plan (200 minutes, 1000 texts, 500mb per month) or Page Plus (8 cents per minute call, 5-cent texts, 4-month refills instead of 3, generally better coverage than T-mobile). Airvoice's site says there's $1 a month fee. No extra fees on RP or PP.

T-mobile vs Verizon coverage is very different in my state the farther I am from cities/towns. By the way, RP's customer service I consider acceptable, generally had them reply and fix problems in one day via email. I consider Page Plus to have better customer service than Verizon. Though now Verizon bought them (Tracfone) so maybe it will get worse.
