PCV valve is a regular maintenance item. Yes, replace it with a brand-new OEM one, not an aftermarket one.
I'm not a fan of high-mileage oils. They are expensive and the only difference is that they are slightly thicker and they have a little more seal swellers, the latter of which could actually be harmful to your seals if excessive.
I definitely wouldn't use fuel or oil additives of any sort, as they could damage your engine.
Worn valve-stem oil seals can easily be diagnosed by tailpipe smoke during takeoff after idling at a red light for one or two minutes with a hot engine.

It's good stuff, I'm using the red bottle blend now, may try the full syn ML after a couple more OCIs, see if it reduces it even further, just as a fun experiment. My driving style tends to set up a perfect environment for consumption: lots of open high-speed highway driving and 70+ MPH cruises down mountain passes with a lot of coasting.

My previous oci with the Matrix was full syn. Maxlife 0w20 for 10,600 miles. I did take a sample and should get the results back any day now hopefully. It really wasn't consuming any oil, just picked it up since it was on sale and the same price as red bottle.
The early 7th and early 8th gen K24's are known for burning oil. Honda claims the 8th gen consumption is caused by poor quality fuel and high rpms when engine is cold. I am not sure what causes the early 7th gens to burn. I would bump up a grade and use Pennzoil Platinum or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. Both are known for cleaning properties. Personally I would not even consider using seafoam or any other magic in a bottle type product unless consumption is higher than 1 quart per 1000 miles, and even then I would probably still avoid this type of products.

I have never heard of this. Nissans 2.5 on the other hand has this problem. Are you SURE your not getting your engines mixed up? Could you provide a link to an article on said issues. Again, I have never heard of the K24 having this issue. I could be wrong.

I would scope it and see if there is bore damage.

My Honda S2000 calls for 10/30 and when I hit 100k miles I switched to 10/40 H/M and any oil usage went away.
Move up to this 10/30 H/M and see what happens. Check or replace the PCV valve.

I have same Car 2003 Accord 4 cyl
146000 Kms on it but I have it since it had 93000 kms on the clock. And yes it burns oil. I think K24A4 has some piston rings issue and oil passes through those and enter combustion chamber specially if you drive hard.
I have noticed more consumption when I drive it hard like rapid accelerations etc but comsumption is moderate when its driven easily.
I use Mobile1 5W20 and planning to stick to it. But My driving has reduced due to job situation. NOw car is parked for 5 days and only driven on weekends.
I do drive it for 3--40 kms in a single trip on highway every week end so the oil do come to operating temperature.
But I am skeptical to put high mileage oil. I heard once you start using HM , its not possible to turn back as the seals become habitual to HM oil...

What might happen is some serious cold piston slap/knock; that was my experience with Maxlife 10w-30 in my Accord.
