Red text in display

Dark mode, I presume you mean.
Normal display is still black text on white background.
But the dark background is horrible.

First - the site hasn't changed the text. It's likely that your browser/settings have changed.
Next - this isn't a Passenger Car Motor Oil question, so, I am moving it.
Finally - it would help to know on what device you are viewing the site, with what browser, and what settings you have enabled.

No issues here on dark mode with any text, including red text.
You need to scroll to the bottom and change it back.
Not complaining. Its always been the default gray, and I know I didn't change any preference of mine. Anyways, its nice--a bit more blue now, its a bit more calming than the previous look. I like it. Perhaps it will keep people from ignoring the search functions and starting another thick vs. thin argument.

Here's dark mode on my phone (snapshot below), and it looks the same on Firefox browser … both look great. Much easier on the eyes.

Galaxy S21. Chrome. Dark mode with the new blue font is unreadable at night with the red text portions (they are "invisible"). I've just changed mine back to the classic red because of it. I'll screen shot it tonight...it's not just dark mode there's something that changes at night on my phone because right now I can turn on dark mode and see it all just fine with the blue.
Take a look at this post. It's possible that the mobile devices that support adaptive dark mode can't use the blue theme.
He's showing a BITOG alert.
It's only when the alerts are new. Once you've gone and checked those alerts or checked those posts you can see it so it's basically the red highlight over the whole alert that creates the issue. It's fine in light mode.
