So while at aunts place she gave me a whole box of records. These are some of the ones I like. I have a circa 1968 Zenith fold out record player that I listen to records on.

YES! I love the "sounds of silence" album and some of the early BEATLES albums also
Guys and Turk: glad some people appreciate the past and records. I've done my good deed by saving a box of them
The record jackets (or "sleeves"? It's been a long time since I heard them discussed) gave artists a big canvas to work on. The tiny 6" x 5" cases for CDs are like postage stamps by comparison.

I have a HUGE record collection. Started buying them in the early 80s when I was in high school. I have several thousand lps and 45s,all mid to late 60s garage/psych rock,all original pressings. Our spare bedroom is known as "the record room" haha. My gf's dad had a band in the 60s when he was in high school playing Beatles and Rolling Stones stuff. He still plays actually. Guess that's why she tolerates my hobby haha.
