1. What kind of vehicle you have
It is a 1996 Honda Civic with a jdm b16a2 swapped from a 99-00' Civic Si the motor has about 60k miles on it.
2. What your owner's manual says -- not just viscosity, but certifications (look for acronyms like API SM, ILSAC GF-4, etc.) and change intervals as well
These are not numbers that I have access to as this is a swapped motor, but it is a 5w30
3. Where you live
I live in south eastern wisconsin, I drive all the months that there is not snow on the ground, temps probably range from 20degrees F to 100degrees F in the weather I am driving-- in the winter months the far is stored outside under an all weather cover.
4. How you drive (easy? hard? fast? slow?)
I drive in a mixed manner, ranging from hard and fast to easy and slow.
5. What your daily drive is like (short trips? long trips? city? highway?)
My daily drive is a few short trips with maybe 30mins of straight cruise time each night.
Weekly I take a highway trip to and from Milwaukee (45min trip each way) for a couple races.
6. Whether your car has any known problems
As far as I know the only problem I've ever had with my car is broken axles =p
On a added note; what filter would be recommended as well? I've heard fantastic things about k&n and Mobil 1 as far as oil filters go...
Currently I am running 5w30 royal purple motor oil.
Thanks for any thoughts, opinions, and/or recommendations!
