My '95 S10 Blazer is up to 230,000 miles. Few months back installed new axle bearings, seals, and syn. grease. Differential still has a noisy, rough bearing and one of the new bearings and seals are leaking, meaning a new axle.
Would REALLY like to install later model disc brake differential instead of having old drum brake unit rebuilt with new axles, seals, bearings, and brakes.
The original anti-lock system hasn't worked in 60-70,000 miles could it be removed? (I'm just fine with conventinal non-abs). Then there's the proportioning valve to consider.
Anyone ever done anything similar, or just go back original? Refer a site with more related posting?
Thanks,
Bob
