Realtors in Florida

Strange - I just changed insurance and going to a $5000 deductible did not seem to help much - under $100 from 1000 to 5000.

Of course here we have a special wind deductible. Mine is $7K for anything wind.
I always do $5k and it saves me nearly 20%

I tried with several companies and it didn't matter.

Do you have the special wind deductible where your at? I wonder if thats why it does not matter much here - wind is our most likely hazard.
That may be it.. we don't have a wind deductible.
I figure anything worth claiming should be over $5k because you will be surcharged afterwards....ya know ?

I agree. I would not file a claim for under $5K - no chance, even with a $1000 deduct. However I figured if I raised the deduct to $5K murphy dictates I will have a claim this year, so I paid the extra $85 I think it was. :ROFLMAO:

Well $85 is peanuts eh?

@demarpaint complained about realtors showing you properties far above your requested limit.

I don't need market updates but I said yes to one realtor as I can always opt out... she asked me the price range and now she sends me properties 4x higher than requested.

I think @Pablo and @KCJeep put a hit on me....

LOL Get used to it. Many years ago when we sold our first house and were looking for another house, we met with a broker and I told her our price range. I told her our maximum and we would not exceed it. I don't know how much clearer I could have been. She shows us a few houses and then takes to another town hyping a house big time. I knew the game. We get to the house and I say to her while sitting in the car the owners will take $200K for that house? That was our max at the time. She said "absolutely not." My reply: "why did you bring us here?" She replied with the usual nonsense and I said we're not going to look. Meanwhile she made arrangements with the owner and they were expecting us, in fact they opened the front door when they saw us pull up. We didn't get out of the car. I dumped her and worked with another broker from another firm and explained that I wasn't going to be used to boost how much traffic she generates for her clients. She sold us the house we're in now.

I'm sure anyone selling or sold real estate is not liking me, oh well................;) I've been selling all my working life, listening to your customers helps, a lot.

Realtors all have their own agenda.

AI will replace all of them soon. You will put all your needs in an application. AI will schedule a showing appointment - you will have an entry code and will do a AI guided tour with your phone active, and you can put in how you feel about each attribute. AI will adjust your wishes based on the tour and schedule the next appointment to what it feels best meets what you actually want.

Time will tell, AI is going to change a lot of industries.

I never bring a realtor ever not even to an open house.
They hate that. I will however use one that is honorable.... I know several
No comment @demarpaint lol

They have a guy in South Florida that shares his commission with you 50/50
I understand he could soak you many ways but seems like a good bloke
Its been a while and I'd have to find him

How do you go see a house without a realtor? Or your only doing new construction and open houses?
In 1999 when I built my shop which is just a house with many garages I looked at the local builders via open houses etc.
Modified one I saw with a small time builder which was just two guys...all stick built with brick and siding....he only farmed out drywall, plumbing and electric... of course septic and the well guy I got.

It's nice to see the structure
via houses he built and not a dolled up model home...

I already had a hit on you. Pay attention man.

Fortunately for you, the hit quality I got for the buck-fifty-seven I had left after trying to emulate your day trading practices doesn't do much for yielding results. :ROFLMAO:

Carry on.
