Hello,

We as family share Nissan Sentra 2017. Accidentally my son poured Techron while filling gas 20 oz came home, didn't tell me about it and I poured the 2nd. 20 oz. Now, I am really worried. Can someone advise if I need to dump all the gas, etc. ? I believe Nissan full tank is around 13 gallons.

so thats about triple the "normal" dosage rate. (1oz/gallon normal treat rate)
Its not a great thing but doubt it will cause any actual damage.
might want to get an oil change afterwards if you are close to needing one.

Could also consider filling up once you get to half tank of gas.. to dilute it some.

If we only knew what our fuel blends were we would be concerned. There’s never a consistent blend when one week you get spark knocking and the next week it’s fine. All pumped from the exact refueling location and the same weather conditions as well as driving routes. That small amount of fuel additive won’t hurt anything.

Other than perhaps causing a long crank cold, it won’t cause any issues. The reason I mention the possibility of a long crank is I have filled motorcycle carburetors with straight Techron and it doesn’t light off well until it is diluted quite a bit.

but its diluted in 13 gallons of gas so is this applicable?

Absolutely you should be worried. Your injectors will be really clean!

It says either on the bottle or the box that overdosing doesn’t hurt or help. You’re fine. Summer is coming, so just do your oil change after this tank of gas is done.
