REALLY SLOW FORUM

Is anyone else have a problem with really slow loading on this forum? This one has always been so fast and now take minutes to load. All other sites running normal. This started about two weeks ago.

Nope, no problems here. I got a medium-speed DSL connection and everything loads quickly. Even on dial-up it's pretty fast. Maybe you need to do some housekeeping in your browser's preferences. Clean out your cache, disallow 3rd party cookies, pop-ups and whatnot. The computer freaks should have better advice.

I am on dial-up and it is running pretty fast for me. Remember this is Easter and some parts of the country are overloaded right now. Some IP's and Routers just cannot handle the holiday traffic.

Almost instaneous loading for me this morning in Pensacola. I have not noticed any problems during the week from New Orleans (assuming I can get connected at all...).

I noticed it about the same time as the $50 survey appeared. I'm on dial-up at home and sometimes it does load quite slowly..large flash files ??

Dial-up for me and it's fine. Maybe the servers being in Australia has something to do with it??

Here's an interesting statistic: Microsoft's average daily web traffic is 2.5GBit/sec. At patch time, 4.0GBit/sec is normal. That's a LOT of traffic.

And 40% of all traffic is spam mail.

Checked this morning, to download the homepage was about 700K.
