Changing spark plugs can be very challenging. Is your torque wrench calibrated? Does the calibration have standards traceable back to NIST standards? You should also be using a 1/4" drive ratchet for this job. Some people factor in the earth's Coriolis to ensure maximum precision. How far away from the equator do you live?

My bet is that the OP disconnected the battery while changing spark plugs (which is the right thing to do), but then that means the ECM needs to relearn about the throttle control. If the butterfly is not clean, you will have rough idle before the relearn process is complete.
