Wondering if anybody if aware of a quality multi tool that would work well for RC cars? My sons are really getting into these and carrying my good tool kit in the field is a bit bulky. Would be looking for the following tools
- phillips (probably #1 is best but we know there is crossover here
- metric hex, 1.5-3.0mm
- 7mm nut driver

Not much more than that is needed. Bondus makes a nice folding hex that would work but I'd still need the philips and nut driver. Maybe still a good option with a separate bit driver for those? I'd really like to try to keep it simple, though. Something to throw in a fifth pocket or back pocket.

Everything but the nut driver. Just found this at Home Depot. 21.97

You can find lots of this kind of stuff at the local hobby shop or Tower Hobbies. Honestly depending on what sort of cars any commercial stuff is going to be pretty large.

I have a nice set from either Tamiya or HPI in my range bag. Id look for you but it is all in storage...

This one pretty much hits all of your needs. I don't know the quality of this brand but Amazon's return policy is as good as any, if it doesn't work as expected.
