Ravenol: MTF-2 vs STF

Put STF in my old truck that’s got the Mazda M5OD 5MT that takes ATF, and it made 2nd gear a lot nicer. Went to order some for a different car that also takes ATF in its manual transmission (Tremec TR6060 this time) and no one in the states is stocking it anymore.

Looking at the specs, MTF-2 is extremely close to it numbers wise. Same viscosity at temp, slightly lower viscosity cold (with the associated increased VI.

Is there likely anything special about the additive pack in STF that would make their MTF-2 operate meaningfully differently in the same trans?

For what it’s worth, ravenol suggests the MTF-2 when I plug in the GM OE fluid (ACDelco 10-4033)

Could you explain why not?
The STF is listed with 7.4 and the MTF-2 with 9.1 cSt
Histroically, MTF-2 has had a viscosity of 7.1 to 7.6 cSt.

B. The next higher viscosity MTF would be the 7.0 to 7.6 cSt@100C versions(SAE 70W75) (About the same viscosity as the original DexronIII/Merc)

1.Royal Purple's Synchromax
2. Ravenol MTF-2
3. Honda MTF
4. VW part number G052512A2
5. GM Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Fluid
6. BMW (Pentosin MTF 2) MTF-LT-1, 2 ,3
7. Tutelo (Petronus, Italy, Product Code 1402)
8. Penrite Pro Gear 70W75 (Australia)
9. FUCHS Titan Sintofluid FE 75W Manual Transmission Oil. GL-4 75W Gear Oil
10. Redline Power Steering Fluid R
11. RAVENOL STF
12. HPL Manual Transmission Life 75W75 7.1 cSt

I wish Ravenol had a better public facing contact system so we could ask why the spec appears to have changed drastically.

Can't imagine that. I don't know why it was formerly sold as SAE80 when according to SAE-Standard, the range starts at 8.5.
