There was even a steady idiomatic expression - ravenolit', an approximate analogue of your expression "make a mess". )))

I guess we shall see. When it comes to actual ability to formulate (versus how they formulate or market to the public) we'll see if there are some bona fides in a few months, or if they fail miserably in F1, or if they pull up stakes before they get started.

For getting oem-tolerances, this company always puts maximum effort and controls everything very meticulously - well-tested formulations and correctly mixed oils are provided for testing. Also for Formula 1. But for final consumers - only God knows what is inside in the canister)))

Interesting. Wondering now if Ravenol has decent Quality Control.
Maybe it is to be avoided until they prove they are not the Purolators of the oil world.

Isn't 4.1 million rubles about the cost of a loaf of bread and a liter of vodka?

FWIW, since I formerly stated I have no need of D1G2, the VOA shows it's a hearty API SN oil if nothing else.

Molakule, if you wanted a sample jar of this oil to do some of those fancy tests you've taught us about, just say the word. I'd be happy to send a bottle over if you were so inclined. Thanks!

Looks like SubieRubyRoo got dexos1 Gen1 oil in a Gen2 container, if his oil analysis is right anyway.
No harm done for Subie, yet its troubling Ravenol makes this "filling error" I guess we can call it.

PQIA grabbed a dexos1 Gen1 bottle last year and the NOACK, CCS, etc. did seem to be from great oil, confirmed in that one instance. http://pqiadata.org/Ravenol_DXG_5W30.html
Can we trust Ravenol's quality & business approach? The Russian club might have been getting Ravenol samples that upset them due to tampering, as a possibility since somebody could have poured in another cheaper brand of oil inside a used Ravenol jug (???), known to happen once in a while at U.S. Walmarts & scattered around the world too.

Also, it could be Ravenol wouldn't put absolute junk in U.S.-bound jugs due to the active FTC here. Ravenol could be denied import licenses to the U.S. if the FTC caught them putting junk in jugs. If Russian laws are similar, then they could be banned there too if guilty of accidental or deliberate quality issues.

Wake up, guys!
Have you seen a lot of commercial oils with Dexos1 and sodium package?
Is it not "rubbish"?

Yes thats true, he does not need dexos 1. But still isnt ok to get the wrong stuff.Maybe the reason why they dont sell Ravenol in Finland.

Eventually more UOA or VOAs of DXG d1g2 will pop up on this site and we can compare. I wouldn't expect a response from Ravenol. DXG has been a frequently discussed/popular oil on this site recently because of its specs (PAO, low Noack).

They're still on the new Racing Point livery, so we at least know they haven't pulled up stakes there. I may be mistaken, but I thought Manthy GT switched to them as well.

I ordered two 5L jugs and and 2 1L bottles last November and while the 1L bottles had recent date codes (29.03.18 / 18200031), I was a little concerned with the 5L jugs showing older date codes, (31.07.17 / 17201233), but they did clearly say dexos1 Gen2 on the label. Have one that I have not opened yet.

I'm running the DXG in my wife's 2018 Enclave 3.6L V6 with DI right now, so I'm only assuming it's the Gen2 with the low calcium levels that the engine calls for. I'll run a UOA on it sometime in the next month or two and report back here. I'm almost thinking of running it in my Corvette LS7 as well, but Mobil1 at Walmart, especially when they do the rebates, makes that stuff awfully cheap.

Also, I was recently notified by Ravenol that they do intend to ship the 0w20 DFE around next April, so I'll probably try that in my Yukon's L86 6.2L V8 as it has excellent NOACK ratings.

Is that THIS coming April, or a whole 13 months from now?
