RAV 4 2003

The engine oil has been mobil1 FS 0w40 (toyota recommends 5w30) since new and the car has done 86000 miles so I decided to give it a well deserved health check!

The oil has been in the engine for one year but only done 3600 miles. The car is left outdoor all year round and does not burn oil.

results are good on the wear & foreign content and the oil has aged well (although very little miles on it

That’s an easy 2 year oil for your clean running RAV4.

Looks good. A 2003 with super low miles, what's the overall condition of your RAV?

I used to change the oil @ 10kmiles during a servie with toyota but since the car started living outdoors 10 years ago, I decided to make it annually and do it myself.

Yes the mileage is low for the age and touch wood, the engine runs like a gem specially since I started managing it's maintenance myself as opposed to toyota monkeys they call technicians.
