Comical and sad. AMG did partner with Mitsubishi and produce a handful of Galants for 1989 before AMG went in house under Mercedes Benz.

Malibu SS maybe. Malubu SS by AMG, I doubt it. How much do SS and AMG emblems cost anyway?

When my daugter was at university we frequently saw a Lada parked on the street with BMW emblems. BMW emblems don't make a Lada into a BMW. She knew what it was but her friends (several of them male) wouldn't believe her.

SS on the flank of an American vehicle sporting an AMG badge might have some cryptic Teutonic meaning. I'd be cautious investigating that.

It's the same parts-store font seen on any number of hoopties. I've seen too many funny ones (intentional or not) that I've lost track over the years.

It was the 5.5 liter but the decimal point fell off.

At least he could've done was pick a flat spot so the applique didn't look so out of level.

It automatically adds 100 hp and gets better traction. He should have taken some painters tape and a ruler to put the callout badges on evenly so they would match and be level with the malibu emblems. I hope the owner isn't an adult.

Could also be a body man. I've seen some of the tool boxes from techs at many body shops covered, I mean absolutely covered in every badge they take off of cars that they are repairing. Maybe it spills over onto their personal vehicles when all the space on the tool box is used up?
