Help me decide if it is worth it to save this rare CNG Civic

$4600
for an engine that needs either a replacement head or 3 spark plug holes repaired???

thats the we dont want your business price.. move on.

I'd say no. Especially considering the miles on the car. I remember reading about the spark plug troubles and thinking I'd do it myself.

However, when work must be done by somebody else, there is a point at which it makes zero economic sense. You could easily spend thousands, only to have more expenses pop up. That is not a new car.

On the other hand, $500/month car payments is $6k/yr.

Okay, I was just thinking because the car was otherwise in good shape and saved me a lot on fuel. $1 / gallon fuel in this thing with 35mpg is like the equivalent of a car that gets 100 mpg depending on fuel prices. But yea, maybe not worth it
Can you get cng locally? A few of the gas stations around me have stopped selling it near me.

I'm a little confused did he strip the threads putting them is were they seized in and did it coming out either way dump some MMO in the cylinders after fixing 3 plug threads and start it up and see what you see I guess not sure what else is wrong with heads as you have not told us why all this happened

Go back to the OP's Post #1 and read the embedded linked posts from Dec. '24 and March '25. It explains in great detail all of the events leading up to his current dilemma.
