since taking this pic I have taken off the ugly black vanity plate holder on the front bumper; the car looks much cleaner now...I will post an "after" pic shortly...the Bird still looks ok for a 1997 car with 130k miles, i think
need to fix those little rust spots on the hood...esp the one above the right headlight

Awesome. I love that gen T-bird. MN-12's were on the short list along with Panthers when I was looking at cars. I had trouble locating a decent one. Most were beat to [censored]. Poor things.
When I was in high school I located a red 1992 3.8 SC with a 5 speed. I wanted it bad. Sold before I grabbed it though.

I still love this car ... it has the 4.6L v8, and the "Lighting package (adds autolamp I think) and the Sport package, which was kinda rare for the last yr (adds larger front brakes, tighter/sportier shocks/springs, 16" alloys, and the spoiler I think). (My Tbird was made in July 1997, the month Ford stopped making them)

These cars have fully adjustable (wheel alignment) suspension front and rear. Unusual on RWD cars untill you get into 'Vette price range. LOVE IT!

it now has a CEL for "catalyst efficiency below threshold Bank-1" since 6 months or so, and i'm planning to get the cats (might as well replace them all) and/or the O2 sensors (still oem) replaced, as soon as I get a chance..
the mpg has gone down, from what I always thought was very decent (about 27-28 mpg hwy and around 18 town) for a car of this size/category

Try the O2s first, it might just be that, especially if they are OE. I would give them a good shot of PB blaster a little bit before I tried to pull them though..
