Interesting comparison of new vs old. The driver of old is a rally expert:

I remember him from his old days driving an A2 GTI 16V in the production class at SCCA Pro Rallies, way before he had the school, sponsorship from Ford, or was the NA go to for M-Sport/MS-RT hardware (A L-O-N-G time ago!).
I wonder if those were winter ice/snow RALLY spec Yoks, or just one variant of their street winter tires?
The profile looked too short to be rally deals, but then their sidewalls also looked to be reinforced like all non-tarmac rally tires are, regardless of whether they are for gravel, or ice/snow use.

-Subaru Impreza early to mid 2000s vintage.
-Ford Fiesta (many parts available, for rally esp).
Other ideas.
-The newer Hyundai Accents/Kia Rios I believe are related to the i20, which Hyundai runs in the WRC.
-Toyota runs a newer Yaris at the moment but not sure about the older ones.
