Should I use any sealer or just go for the hose clamps? I'm leaning towards just the clamps.

I had a radiator hose leak on a fairly new hose on my Jeep once, turned out I just needed to slide the clamp up a little.
Have you tried just readjusting it up or down?

This one is about as far up as it can go, I could move it down more towards the end of the nipple, where should it be placed?

I’d go closer to the nipple. Then you don’t have to drain the radiator moving the clamp

Just snug them with enough tension to compress the Belleville spring washers (50-80 in/lbs). I use Hylomar on every hose connection but if you cant wait for ebay some Permatex #2 on the hose nipple should work okay. Get the Hylomar if you can, its superior in every way.

Thanks, just ordered some from O'Reilly's. Is there a torque spec for them or just till it feels snug?

Trav is correct, the shims/springs will compress slightly, and you just snug it down, not overly tight, just snug. You'll feel it when you're tightening the hex head. I didn't know of a torque spec I just snugged it down. hope that makes sense. You're welcome too! Hope they work well for you like they have for me! I may be "stuck in my ways" but when Oreilly's masterpro clamp worked, I didn't care to try anything else!

I had a slow weep on the top radiator hose on my old '04 Nissan Frontier 2.4. Replaced the hose and used a standard screw type clamp. It still weeped no matter how tight I did the clamp. I eventually had to remove the hose again, cleaned the thermostat housing, and applied a little bit of Permatex around the outlet. Stopped the leak for the duration of my ownership of it. Never went to those clamps again. Think it was a Gates/Napa hose.
I got lucky on the S10, used the same Gates/Napa hoses and no issues so far. I did use the factory clamps, but this time I also took a Scotchbrite to clean-up all the outlets. Lesson learned from previous failures.

And for those who are saying gates hoses were the problem, I guess it could happen. But on the civic where I am using gates brand hoses, the honda (new from dealer) spring clamps held it and is holding it just fine, no issues of it being overly thick.
but definitely get the clamp, put it on and let us know..

Update: Not a sign of wetness...until today. Took it on a 2hr drive and checked it after I got home and there was just the very slightest dampness. I checked the torque and the clamp was easily tightened using just the head of the ratchet. I assume that's too loose so I snugged it up till I couldn't turn it with just the ratchet head. Think that fixed it?
That probably took care of it, next time try the hylomar with the clamp. A tube will last a long time, unlike silicone it doesn't harden in the tube.
Will do - already thought about that being the next step. Hopefully that won't be needed though. Thanks for the help!
Update: Been great for about 1000 miles. It was -12F last night and I had the block heater plugged in. Checked after the morning commute and there was a slight weep. Tightened the clamp a bit, took it for a drive...still weeped. Gave up, brought it to the shop I use, got under it to look at it and it's dry. Ran a few more errands and brought it home and it's dry. Any ideas?

I guess if I fired up the parts cannon it could be 1 of 3 things....hose, clamps, tstat housing. Replacing the tstat housing will require another tstat since it's a crush gasket.

Like I said, clean the mating surfaces and install a Gates Thermo Clamp.

It didn't leak over last night (-6F) and driving this morning...why?
It didn't get cold enough or you finally got the clamp tight enough its that simple.
I suppose. I guess now I'm just trying to weigh that if it's worth fixing it if it only weeps at that cold of temp...is that to be expected even with factory setups once it gets that cold?
I have seen it when it gets abnormally cold like it was here this year.
