Was trying to think of stuff my 2-year old would enjoy. He likes crashing cars, fire trucks, ambulances, flashing lights, loud noises, and tires. Figured the local circle track would have it all in one sitting!
Maybe when we're older we'll get matching shirts too!
After some of these guys hit the wall...
A tire got loose...
They call the cleanup crew the "beach boys" because of the speedy dri sand stuff they put on oil slicks. A loose tire was no biggie for them!
More tow trucks and scale model "legend cars". Unlike the actual cars, which are wrecks, I get the impression the cost of entry of a "legend car" is substantial, as the drivers don't usually wreck. This was the last race of the year though so they were aggressive..
It was getting too dark for steady photography, this 80s monte carlo (they're ALL 80's montes in this class) recovered from a 360 or 720 and was trying to get back up to speed.
Incidentally, this picture EXIF data says 1/10 sec, with 60 Hz power the lights panning in the background flickered 12 times during the exposure!
