I often mix various ground meats (including fowl) for burger patties and meatloaf.
I believe the problem with store-bought ground meat is that often not only meat is ground but other bits and pieces (cartilage, tendons, noses, ears, beaks, lips, b-holes etc) as well. That's why I grind my own meat.
