After trying for an hour or so to post my analysis in a decent manner and having been unsucessful. I will cut the chase and ask my question. After a 7500mi run of PP 5w-30 with excellent results, nitration was taged as severe with a # of 35. The comment was; infrared results indicate beginning lube oxidation. Is this something I need to be concerned about? The car is a nissan sentra with a 2 ltr. motor, 07 with 52,000 miles. The oil retained a tbn of 3.99 with 1% fuel and 0.1 water. Any comments would be appreciated.

Really simple. Just type your results in. It's the way it should be done. Just copy someone's post who did it correctly and substitute your numbers in.

Nitration and Oxidation numbers without direct comparison to your virgin oil are useless. Don't let anyone tell you any different.

Commenting on the rest of the tiny amount of info would not be all the helpful without knowing your driving style, how long the oil was in the engine etc, so best get your UOA up and tell us some more!

I agree with Pablo, just type it in. Best to start a new post with proper heading (vehicle, oil miles, etc) so us nerds can find it in the future if we're looking for something similar.

Thanks!

mostly trips of 10+ mi. Very few short trips.
We had a pretty cold winter; for us, probably still mild by most climates.
