Hey guys, I have a 94 GT with only 14K on it, I've owned it since new. I have never changed the rear diff fluid before and really want to now, especially after reading on here for a while. Question is, the manual calls for a 90 weight, I have recently acquired for free 3 quarts of Chrysler synthetic 75-140 and the chrysler friction modifier. Would this be fine to use or should I get the 80w90 conventional and XL-3 ford friction modifier?

Thanks for any input you have.

Thanks for the response. What about using the Chrysler friction modifier? do you think it would close to the same as the Ford stuff?

The 75W-140 will be fine.

Ford's FM is specified for the clutch materials used in their differentials. Whether the Chrysler FM is compatible...???
