Okay guys. If the vehicles are a 2009 and a 2010, and I follow GM's OLM which puts me out to 9,500 to 10,500 on the OCI, will the GM recommended AC Delco filters hold up? I am talking about the metal core AC Delco's not the ecore.

Any filter that meets or exceeds OEM spec's will work. The OLM just eliminates the fudge factor safety margins required for determining when the sump and filter is shot. There are a few members with OLM cars that only get 3500 miles out of the sump.

If there were someone doing 15k/year, their OLM might say a 10k+ OCI. If they were doing it by the old method, they would have dumped the sump @ 7500 and could have left the filter on for the next 7500. What's changed is knowing when the original sump is shot.
