Helping a buddy - 1965 Chevy. Had to install a new master cylinder. The single brake line outlet was in the front instead of the side, so he also ordered the oem shape brake line to fit the MC outlet. After rebuilding the RR caliper, he gets a firm pedal. BUT, there is a Very Slight fluid leak under pressure where the new flare fitting screws into the distribution block. I grrr’d on it super tight, and when it still leaked under pressure, grr’d past my feel for what‘s appropriate. It helped a small little. It’s a flare fitting.

we did have to wrestle with it to get it in place and lined up well enough to thread it. Practical advice?

the leak is small…. You can hold the pedal for a minute and *might* perceive pedal sinking, but the fluid immediately shows at the fitting upon pedal press.

Thank you all. We plan to back it out and have another go at it.
- threads are silky smooth the whole way
- we were wondering how sensitive these are to the lines being “perfectly bent” - we had to hold a little tension on it to get it to thread smoothly. are they sensitive to that?
- will also take a look at the block.
