I currently have one of the porch style flag poles. Sadly, the mount is made of plastic and any decent wind will make it flex like rubber. I get that you’d want some flex, but this will flex to 30-45 degrees on a decently windy day. I’m afraid it’ll break.
I plan on getting a flag pole once the landscaping and front of the house is done. That won’t be for a few years.
