Hasn’t been on the shelf of my Walmart for weeks.
I missed where it was renamed. That kind of just seems like an AI video regurgitating alot of already known stuff from here (BITOG) and stuff from Lake Speed Jr. It did have some pretty good other facts in it also tho.

That sucks...i was really liking that oil.
I sent Shell an email and asked them if it was discontinued, but of course, no response.
I emailed Shell, Mobil, Castrol, and Valvoline a couple of months ago (on another matter) and the only one that did not respond back was Shell.
The best communication was with Castrol and Valvoline. I actually learned a lot from their responses.

I’ve used this oil a couple times in the Carnival in the 0w-20 flavor. For the price it’s great, as mentioned, but it’s a slow mover. The 5qt jugs, while they do rotate out, are usually significantly older stock than other brand choices on the shelf. As for the 1qt bottles, every single one I’ve see has been from early 2023, regardless of store location. They also all still have the old reflective label, whereas the jugs moved to the matte label awhile ago.
Why don't use Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30?
Plus the 1qt bottles are like $7 which is not a very good deal.

See. I think its going away. Around here (San Diego) they have plenty of the other Quaker State products, just no more UP.
I just checked one of my local Walmart stores and they have online Quaker State Ultimate Protection 5W-30 for $23.98 for 5 qt jug, but it says "Only 6 Left". I'll check how is the availability in-store as well in the following week or so.
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is just $2.50 more expensive.

Most people don't realize that depending on your location within the country it shows out of stock online for certain motor oil. I've also had it happen to me where I couldn't buy something online but was available for others because they were on the West Coast. Walmart only has so much shelf space and with the introduction of Valvoline Restore and Protect and now Ultra Platinum that means other oils have to go, you can't even get the Euro-L in the store anymore.
I need to start visiting a different store, the one I typically use doesn't really keep good stock of what I need, that and they've started installing the anti theft devices on all of the jugs, at first it was just certain ones but last time they were on practically all of them. It's bad enough with the lines and having to use self checkout but I want to get in and out in a timely manner and don't want to wait or track someone down just to remove the device so I can leave. They keep maybe one or two staffed registers open but those lines are always way too long and they have one staff member for each end working the self checkout.
