With BMW Longlife-01 and at that price point, could it unseat Mobil 1 0W-40 in BITOG lore?

Which one is in the BITOG lore? Mobil 1 FS or Mobil 1 ESP. ESP is the Corvette oil.

I don’t believe that’s a “Euro” oil though.

QS is going to be very limited with ZDDP, unlike M1.

The QS wemay posted is Euro a3/b4 and LL-01, etc. I was expecting it to be similar to Mobil 1 Euro 0w40.

SP limits ZDDP in W40 to 800ppm. Also, Shell bets on other additives.

I really do not. But, considering it is GTL, Noack is probably in 8% range.

Me too!!! also the NOACK seems a little high and TBN kinda low, compared to the stellar Mobil 1 0W-40....but I guess something has to give for the price....
(Wish I had more of those $25 12quart boxes stashed from the recent Walmart clearance)

If that is correct it's nothing more than the cheap bulk 5w40's you get at the VW dealer, but that would explain the smokin' price.

40grade oils don't have the same ZDDP limits

SP in only applicable to viscosity grades SAE 0W-20, 0W-30, 5W-20, 5w30 and 10w30.
Not 0W-40 or 5W-40.

Found it today on top shelf hiding/backwards. Picked it up for a "why not" oil change in a few weeks on my Sportwagen - it will be at 5K on the Mobil 1 0W40 anyway. Will do a VOA on it as well. ~$23 for 6qts, don't like the buy the 5L for the spare this go around b/c just trying it.
