Which one is in the BITOG lore? Mobil 1 FS or Mobil 1 ESP. ESP is the Corvette oil. With BMW Longlife-01 and at that price point, could it unseat Mobil 1 0W-40 in BITOG lore?![]()

We expanded beyond the Euro at posting #51.I don’t believe that’s a “Euro” oil though.
QS is going to be very limited with ZDDP, unlike M1.
SP limits ZDDP in W40 to 800ppm. Also, Shell bets on other additives. The QS wemay posted is Euro a3/b4 and LL-01, etc. I was expecting it to be similar to Mobil 1 Euro 0w40.
Curious why the zzdp is very limitted?
Do you know this QS Noack # and Moly amounts?SP limits ZDDP in W40 to 800ppm. Also, Shell bets on other additives.
I really do not. But, considering it is GTL, Noack is probably in 8% range.Do you know this QS Noack # and Moly amounts?
This what you’re looking for?I had to do a specific search for Quaker 5w40 to get it to come up on mine. Must be selling, they only had two when I looked.
Me too!!! also the NOACK seems a little high and TBN kinda low, compared to the stellar Mobil 1 0W-40....but I guess something has to give for the price....No moly! Was expecting QS to have some or a chunk.
Yeah, I was surprised. 5w30 Quaker State Ultimate Durability have Mo 129No moly! Was expecting QS to have some or a chunk.
40grade oils don't have the same ZDDP limitsAre we sure that's the same stuff? How can SP have that much ZDDP?
If that is correct it's nothing more than the cheap bulk 5w40's you get at the VW dealer, but that would explain the smokin' price.
SP in only applicable to viscosity grades SAE 0W-20, 0W-30, 5W-20, 5w30 and 10w30.Are we sure that's the same stuff? How can SP have that much ZDDP?
