I'm wondering, with Quaker State and Pennzoil being owned by the same company, (Shell) which is the better oil PP or Q
advanced?

-----------------------------------------------------
'07 Hyundai Santa Fe - Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 26000 km
'03 Pontiac Montana - PP 5 W 30 89000 km
'92 Grand Am - Dino something or other 172000 km

Yep... Pennsylvania soil imported from China.

Just do a lead count before starting a garden

- or topping it with new Penn-Rye sod.

I think there's some chink in that armor now...

Supposedly, Quaker State Synthetic "Euro" weights of 5W-40 and 10W-60 are simply rebadged, highly-regarded Shell Helix...

Iv'e never actually seen them in stores though, much like the elusive Penn Platinum 5W-40...

As long as the synthetic says "SOPUS" on the bottom of the jug & the user undergoes common sense OCIs, the label name is irrelevant. All under that flagship SOPUS name are good products.

and how much have they changed since he retired?
and even though they are one company, different divisions, so his knowledge is probably more in the Pen side of the house.

and NO, i'm not digging on him, he's forgotten more about oil than i could ever learn.

I think you must be referring to the Quaker State Horsepower not the QSAS.

QSAS doesn't goto 10w60.
