I believe this was for a 1980 Monte Carlo with the 231 V6. Build date for the filter would be around 1984 or so given the application guide on the box. Inside, you have cardboard end caps and the famous Purolator string! Except for a bit of rust on the baseplate, everything was still in good shape.

This must be some of the earlier "Engineered" Fram fiber end caps Fram likes to brag about. I like that see through box they put that filter in though.
