ok your choice...would you use full Synthetic Quaker State or Full Synthetic Shell Formula......can buy QS for just over $20 for 5qts and Shell for just over $17 for 5qts....your choice and why.....
BTW....QSUD has a good $20 rebate going on until 3/31. Its being sold at my WM, for $20.57 for a 5 quart jug. Can't beat $0.11 cents a quart. Cheapest oil change you'll ever have.
I would go with the Shell synthetic even if it was a few dollars more. I think the gas companies put out very high quality oil. They make their money on gasoline, so they don't have to worry about making a profit on engine oil. If you look at conventional Shell, Chevron, Halvoline, Union 76, Exxon, Mobil, and Conoco Phillips they all make excellent oil at a low price.

You do know that both Shell and QS are made by SOPUS, don't you?

Well yes...I've been to Houston. But you do know they aren't the same formula don't you?
Sigh...
You do know I was quoting a different member, don't you?
I wouldn't be surprised if they had different formulas.
I was making clear to member Loobed that both Shell and QS are made by the same "gas comapany," as he calls them. His post seemed to indicate he didn't know they were both SOPUS products.

Hey! Come on now!-You can get 5 qts. of QSUD basically free now with the rebate. Why wouldn't you? Give it a try and if you don't like the stuff, then go get the other. Who doesn't want free oil? I used to run nothing but Valvoline and Havoline and I'm trying QS products and things are going well.
