last time i was in Walmart i saw this stuff and looked at the bottle and there was no API Service SM "doughnut" on the back, nor was there any API certification on the product at all. now just recently they changed their label and the high mileage oil no longer contains slick 50. so does the re vamped higher mileage engine oil carry the API Doughnut symbol?

The reason being, it's not SM approved. It meets SH, SJ, and SL specs which are all obsolete now. After all, it is a HM engine oil, for older HM engines. I see they have taken the spec sheets off of the SOPUS site, so they are updating them for the new product they are bringing out now. Will have to wait and see what those specs will be.

That would make sense. thaks for your help.

i figured it wasnt sm approved because it has a non api producrt like slick 50 in it
