Quaker State 0w20 5 quart Amazon

I bought 3 today and then canceled about a hour later. Got 12 jugs of Valvoline Hybrid 0W-20 AAP clearance oil to get through.

Well crap.... I ordered 6, that was the maximum it would allow me to get, but now something happened in delivery. Crazy thing is, it was shipping in 2 separate shipments, but both claim issues in shipping 🤷🏼‍♂️

Early this morning I bought two bottles. I recently went a little crazy on Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and Castrol GTX, so could not get more. That is the price of the century

Got a few at 13.32, thanks. Back up to 20-something.

If you click the link and get 13.32, buy it now, commit. You can probably cancel it within 24 hours if you get cold feet. But Amazon does slight-of-hand with pricing, just like airlines do with tickets.
I did that yesterday. I had it in my cart, then out, back in and then went and counted my stash and took it out. Some extra 0W-20 for daughters boyfriend would be good but trying to keep him on Valvoline Restore and Protect.

The Mobil 1 ESP on rollback with the $10 rebate is still an option but I need to lower my stock level some.

They split my order into two. Two jugs arrived this morning, and then the second driver texted that the second box was soaked in oil. Now the second delivery is tomorrow. I wish these packing people would simply tighten the lids on the bottles. That would solve a lot of this.

Update.
4 5 qt jugs delivered by Amazon. I'm not home to share whether they are SP, SQ for a mix.

What I can can share is that one jug leaked.
All over the driveway. All over the old cement stairs. From what I'm told a drip path from the Amazon vehicle ( don't know if a van or freelance vehicle) to the front door .

***. ( apologies to the moderators if those 3 letters taboo.)

So here's a "million dollar question"🤔

So. Is it still a deal if I paid for 4 $15.00 jugs. When now I have to deal with oil stain clean up on the asphalt driveway and the cement steps???

Would rather have passed on the deal than to deal with this BS.

To my fellow BITOG ers

Try to make sure you or someone is home to when it comes to Amazon oil purchase delivery. To refuse damaged goods. And to document damage to property.

Hope others have better results.

Stuff happens. File a damage claim with Amazon. I have gotten either refunds or replacement product.

I was just informed that my package was damaged during shipping and Amazon will provide details Monday. Can’t help but wonder if this price was just a little bit too low. I was looking forward adding this cheap, cheap brand name oil to my stash!

Same happened to me. Delivery driver had messaged that there was “oil all over the place.” They (Amazon) refused to deliver. Now, I’m trying to navigate the AI customer service because they only want to refund one jug instead of three.

Amazon is really slipping. This a nightmare trying to get by this AI agent. It’s like a Kafka novel. I keep getting shuffled from one absurd dead end to another.

Are all jugs damaged?

I have no idea. They wouldn’t deliver. A few months ago I bought some Quaker State 5W-40, and it arrived a mess. When I opened the box, one bottle simply needed the lid tightened. Really frustrating.

The two I actually received were SQ.

Got over to the house today to check out the oil stains. Not as bad as was led to believe. But the fact it was raining was a blessing.

One jug did leak. Not much though. You have to look real close to see which one leaked. Received 3 SQ (black lids) and 1 SP (gold lid).

It was raining hard when it was delivered. And rained through the night. It seems the oil drips that were there when the box was moved never soaked into the concrete. The water protected it. And the rain washed the oil away. What luck!

Im not going to contact Amazon. I know I can probably get something for nothing. But the leak loss was so minimal I'd rather just move on.
