Quaker State 0w20 5 quart Amazon

got my 4 delivered today.
all packed in one box that I would have sworn was too small for 4 jugs. All 4 were there. .no packing material at all.
one minor leakage (more like seepage ). . 3 were SP.. one was SQ.
The SPs were all bottled April 4th 2025.
I can't tell when the SQ was bottled as the date stamp format has changed and the line that must contain the date is smeared.

on the SP bottles, the second line of the date stamp says 04APR25
On the SQ bottles, the second line is the Dexos license number . And on my bottle the first line is smeared.

They split my order into two. Two jugs arrived this morning, and then the second driver texted that the second box was soaked in oil. Now the second delivery is tomorrow. I wish these packing people would simply tighten the lids on the bottles. That would solve a lot of this.
No foil backup seal?

So, the price appears to still be $14.32 for that jug. Not bad for Group 3 slop in the face of.. fake news? I don't know. All I know is that is amazing for a 0W-20. As for me and my home, we will serve the base oil. Except when it costs too much. Oil humor?

Whatever it's made out of, price increases are happening so get it while it's hot. I did not see the additional discount some speak of. Prime member. Not sure what that is, this additional coupon you speak of.

****, Amazon will not let me order any more saying I have reached my quantity limit from prior sales. :(
Boy howdy! The plot thickens.

As far as the clip 10% is concerned, if you read the terms it does say not all customers qualify. Does this mean inflation is indeed having a ripple effect and Q2 margins are this thin? Bezos is sweating fuel costs for his jets and yachts fleet? 😨

6 is often the limit per account. Yesterday I could buy only 5 max per one order so I did so at 12.89 per jug plus tax after the 10% coupon.

Today (and also yesterday) i was able to add the 6th and final jug. I waited until today to see if it would drop, and after applying the 10% coupon again, that jug is down to 11.60 plus tax. Unfortunately I dont think there's a way to get today's price on yesterday's order. And if you cancel it, I dont think you can reorder it again, so not worth it to try to save $1.30 a jug.

And the price is back up to 20.97 anyway.

We did well to get it in before the price hikes.

Furthermore, this one appears to be legit, actual pricing.. not the confusion over one jug vs. Case of 3 jugs a la Wally World, they issued their refund today. Amazon is more straightforward.

For S&Gs, I clicked the link before posting and @JonnyAbs is correct, $20.97 now. What a difference a day makes .

up above I commented that I got the 4 I ordered without issue.
I then read about the coupon that brought it down to 12 and change.
So I ordered two more...
Out for delivery this afternoon.
No delivery.
Refund issued by 8:00 pm.

I am assuming another leak issue.

That means 2/3 of the orders I placed on this deal failed to show up.

Wild. I'm assuming (that if it was a leak issue) it must have made the delivery driver pissed off with the mess it must have caused.

I will take a pic when I get home but the 10 i had delivered today (5 from my wife's account and 5 from mine) had no leakers. Why? And I wouldn't have thought that a shipper would do this although I do it to my own jugs when I get them: the lids were tightened and leak prevention tape applied to each. And more or less just 5 jugs placed on their side in a big box, but handle side down and cap side up. The packer/shipper was a stud.

Someone definitely learned to pack them correctly so as not to cause Amazon issues with leaky merchandise and returns, refunds, or cancellations.

Ordered 6 of these two days ago. Have Prime and the coupon never showed up on my account. They shipped in two boxes with 3 in each. Yesterday one box was declared damaged and refunded. I reordered those 3 yesterday. Today the second box still hasn't arrived and is showing running late - hopefully by June 5th. I fully expect that to be damaged also. The box I ordered yesterday was out for delivery today and then marked damaged and refunded. Fully expecting all three boxes to be refunded for damage. and now the price has jacked up....not very happy.

Funny because I got this email tonight regarding Qty 3:

"Potential delivery issue
Your package may have been affected by an issue that occurred in transit. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We understand this may be frustrating and appreciate your patience. We’re doing our best to follow up on your package and we’ll share an update on Your Orders by June 4"

Wouldn't it be funny if all the leaks made Amazon not want to carry this product, and the sales are a clearance to get them off the books? And they're just too dumb to connect the dots?

I was thinking similar.

I wish they'd use their minimal brainpower to encourage buying by the case rather than onesy-twosy.

I'm annoyed by "pack of two for twice the price" and "pack of three for thrice the price." Only the federal government thinks that pricing structure is a good deal
