QSUD usually does not have this much moly but it looks like a good oil, this is the 10w30 and we usually see the 5w30 anyway so you may have gotten a bonus

. Looks like it stood up well though Al seems high for 4k OCI.

I am curious if he change his oil after around march this year and used the new fuel saving QSUD as touted on the bottle.

Oh, I see. Maybe they upped the Moly in the newer blend?

What was the previous oil?

Could the moly have been leftover?

*The calcium doesn't look bad at almost 2000ppm

*TBN just makes it in at 2.1

*The oil seemed to shear some considering the low fuel dilution

*The Fe was a bit high at 18ppm for a low OCI at 4100 miles. Fe looks a bit like M1

To all:

I've been using QSUD 10w30 for the past 2 or 3 oil changes, and before that I was running M1 HM. The Al threw off Blackstone for some odd reason too, considering all the other metals were fairly in spec (it's kinda throwing me off as well). This is the SN version of QSUD if I'm not mistaken, and the last time I changed the oil (before the most recent one 2 weeks ago), I believe was back in May if I remember correctly. All I know is that when I changed to QSUD, my engine quieted down nicely. Btw, there was no make-up oil on this run (maybe I should consider adding some as needed, considering I lost around a quart, maybe 1.5 quarts this go-round).
