is there any threads on the qs oil filter any good?

There are quite a few threads on QS oil filters. They are decent filters. In the US this is a Purolator Premium Plus (or Classic now). Some say it has slightly less dense media that the name brand Purolator. You can get the QS for $2.50 at Menards in the US.

That said, most likely very similar to a PowerFlo and Proline and made by Puro. Should be fine for a 3-5k OCI.
