I have a package going back to a private party who provided me an on line photo of their pre-paid USPS return label.
My printer is currently not working.

Can I just enlarge the label photo, and take an Iphone photo of the QR code in the lower right corner, and take that
IPhone photo to the USPS? I do note that this QR code doesn't have the normal 8-10 digit issuer ID code under the
black/white squares that I'm used to seeing. A quick google search said I don't need that extra code. I went to the
USPS site to see if the tracking number lookup could reveal their version of the QR code. I didn't see anything.

Thanks.

Pretty sure all that QR code is for is to re-direct you to a website with the actual label.

What is the post office going to do with the photo ?

With the photo of the QR code on my phone, the Post Office scans it into their system, recognizing someone prepaid for it, and then they print out the actual label. I have a picture of the actual label....and I put that on my phone too just in case. I just don't want to waste the time printing it out at a Library or office store, then taping it to my box. So much easier to just go straight to the Post Office with the code. And if this continues to happen, I want the easiest way to do it.

No idea if they have the ability to pull up the label. Seems like they should be able to, but who knows.... Worst case, maybe they have the ability to "re-print" a label for when one gets damaged.

I've used a QR code on my phone to ship things with USPS postal service - the staff there really like it.

I took the package down to the USPS with a copy of the label and codes on it. They couldn't help me.
So went to the library and printed out the label the old fashioned way.....and taped it to my package.
