I purchaced 9 qts of QTP from W*M on closeout in early spring 09 and am about to use it on the next OCI. Of the 9 qts, 3 are 5W30 and the other 6 are 10W30. Has anyone had any experience with QTP and would you like to comment. NOT QHP but QTP! Looking forward to hearing your reviews and please mention your vehicle, engine and OCI/mileage
 
This year I ran it in three vehicles. A Cobalt (Mom's ride), my F150, and I changed over to TP 5W30 in my trail Jeep prior to a trip to Moab, UT. It ran quiet and smooth in every vehicle. I like it!

I did a 7500+/- run in my Mom's Cobalt, a 6,000 run in my truck, and I plan to keep the 5W30 in my Jeep throughout next years wheeling season to see how it withstands the abuse (providing I don't roll and dump out what's in there; already had to replace over 1/2 qt from a roll). I'll UOA the Jeep after next summer.
 
I bought 20 quarts 5w30 on clearance from walmart this year also. So far I have used 10 quarts on two oil changes in my Honda Accord. It runs smooth and consumption is negligeable. I like it.
 
I am on my second run of it in my 05 Explorer. I run it to 5k for warranty purpose. Runs smooth and quiet and 0 consumption.
 
I bought 10 5qt jugs at WM for $9-11 each on cloesout and sent in the QS $10 rebate in on a few. I am running it for 5000 OCI's in my T4Runner 4.0L V6 with excellent results. I have it in the clear and copper colored bottles. It is 2007 vintage. I bought all I could find.

I, too, bought a boatload of it. I've only used one quart of it in a blend I made, and gave some away. I haven't asked my friend how it's doing in his vehicles.
 
I'm running the 5w30 now in an 01 Tacoma. Like you, got it on closeout @WM for ~$10 a jug. Seems to be running fine, and I plan on ~6k OCI, with 6-7 months.
 
5w30 works well in my Saturn ION. Often I would only pay $3 per quart.

5w20 works well in my mom's 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I only paid $2 per quart because nobody in my area trusted 5w20 oil!
 
I purchased several 5 quart 5w30 Q-Torque jugs myself, ran just over 12k in my Honda Accord, great oil, did consume one quart which is very unusual for this car during the OCI, however I have heard, read etc it's normal for such when switching between brands of oils, however I have run these type synthetics pretty much the entire time I have had the car, PP, Edge, Mobil 1, I'm sure some others I can't think of right now. I have several more left, and my daddy also runs it in his Toyota, he even asked me for another jug he liked it so much.
 
I just found 5 quarts of this oil @ $2.50 each at WM. They must have had it in the back because I've been in the store many times and never saw it before. How does this oil differ from Q-Horsepower? Johnny?
 
They don't publish any real numbers for it, but the 5w30 Pour Point (-33C) is significantly higher than the Horsepower (-45C). Pour Point is meaningless, though. You need to go by MRV and CCS at sub zero temperatures, which are numbers they don't publish. I've put a quart of this stuff in my freezer and it was significantly more fluid than Mobil 1 10w30 High Mileage, which claims -54C pour point.
 
I too purchased Q TorquePower at the WM closeout on it back in the spring. I think there are better oils out there, but I'm sure the QTP will serve you fine, as it did me. I used it for about 6mo/6000mi, which imo is long enough for a fairly low-end synthetic. My 2000 Volvo V70 consumed absolutely no oil while the QTP was in the engine, and I had no problems during that time. It's gotta be good oil but if it hadn't been $11 or $12 for a 5-quart jug I probably would not have bought it. Had been using it until last week, now I'm using PP.

I got 3-4 jugs for $10 too. All 10w30, so fine, it seems like a summer oil anyway. It'll go in the Astra for summer and the PZ Semi-Synth 5w30 for winter. I may have to do a mixed oci of both based on my inventory, but no big deal.
