Both have a different color and both have an entirely different smell, as well as come from different plants. HLPA vs SOCOA plants.

Which oil is the better one?

More horse power and more torque. A small percentage more, but more.

And I guess in theory, less friction = better mpg. Small percentage, but more.

I recently purchased both products for one OCI-each. Went out on a limb with the QTorque Power by purchasing 5W-20 instead of my normal 5w30 for my Colorado 4X4. Will see what happens with that! Not sure which one I will use when I change the oil just prior to an East Coast 2k trip that features 1k mountains.

I noticed no difference between quaker state advance, and q torque power, so I think it's a toss up between the two.

Also johnny, what do you recommend, pennzoil platinum or Q advance? Or are they the same oil?

Johnny I currently have Q Torque Power 10w-30 in my 06 Titan CC. Seems like a great oil. I am coming up for a change at 7k and bought PP at Advance Auto BOGO in 5w30 for the truck. Is this a good move or would the Q be just as "good"?. I have heard that this truck likes a thicker oil BUT Nissan says 5w30 is good all the time.

I also have the Q Advanced 5w30 in the wife's 06 Camry 2.4l and will be putting the PP 5w30 in soon as well. Good choice?

Thanks Johnny! I thought I remembered you saying that the Platinum was a shade better than the Q line. The BOGO at Advance Auto simply cant be beat!!!

guess I should've bought all PP at AAP instead of QP for the F150 and PP for the Civic....
guess I'll change my style during the next AAP BOGO.

rsylvstr, with the price that AA has with the BOGO specials on Platinum and Q oils, you simply cannot go wrong. Both my engines have seemed to "like" the Q line, hopefully they will the Platinum as well.
