You might be surprised what might be in our rivers. I haven't studied the details pro or con, but there is concern about estrogen from birth control making it's way past water treatment plants and back into rivers.
I have 30+ year old PVC pipes. When I cut into them there is a layer of rust covering the inside. Even on the soft water pipes. I would assume this blocks water contact with the PVC?
