That's pretty cool, but for $400 I will stick with my ScanGauge. Thanks for posting it though...

Would be cool if I still had my Vette, but not really needed on my econo 4 banger rides now. Still a cool device, though. Good find.

It easily connects to any 2000 or newer vehicle using the OBD II diagnostic port located under the dashboard

I found this odd, considering OBDII has been around since 1996.

Yeah, it won't replace my Tech 2 or other scan tools, but it would be a lot easier to tote along on test drives when monitoring certain parameters!

Exactly my thoughts. However, must be a typo because while browsing the site it mentions 96 and newer.

If you are referring to the DashDAQ, it can monitor hundreds of parameters, including oil pressure and temp. Not all vehicles have all available sensors. For example my '08 Ford Superduty has an oil temp sender but no oil pressure sender. None of these monitor/tuner units can monitor a signal that is not present in the PCM.

It doesn't need to be a diesel. Any OBD-2 vehicle will work. I have mine because Spartan Diesel uses it as a flash interface for their programming software. They are way cheaper from DrewTech without the licensing: DashDAQ

IF you live in the US. It didn't start in Japan, and therefore NZ, Australia, Singapore, the UK, and all the other countries that get JDM verions until 2000. My 1999 car has a plug but the SG2 won't connect.
