2026 Subaru Outback looks hideous

I honestly don't know how some vehicles make it into production without people losing their jobs. I don't hate the overall design language, the attached alternate look (silver colored) compared to the what is coming out (Green), means they were so close to getting it right, but wow is that ugly. It looks gaudy, cheap with all the blocky black plastic over the wheel wells/doors/front, and weirdly disproportionate like it's trying to be the Griswold summer vacation car. I think the silver mockup looks really pretty good. I can't imagine these are going to sell well.

The silver one does looks better, but I don't mind the green one. The plastic cladding down low makes it look "rugged". Looks more SUV than the old model's station wagon look. What is that green thing in rear window? The Blazer looks the best, but it's GM and $50k.

Honestly have always thought they looked awful. 2 generations ago with that plastic roof rack was horrid.

My wife’s Insight was the lowest cost vehicle to operate ever. Life time free oil changes at the dealership and free rotations done at DT. 50 mpg on whatever cheapo gas we fed it.

Big Subi fan here and I agree on the look of the new outback. Not sure what they were thinking with this. I'm curious to see if this affects sales with the MY design change.
