Made a quick trip to Blaine's today and noticed that they started carrying Purolator Oil filters, starting at around $2.99 for the L10111 size I use in my Malibu. They even had a laminated cross-reference of Fram-to-Purolator numbers chained to the shelf. The supply of Frams looked healthy but since they went to the trouble of putting out a cross-reference list in addition to the phone-book sized Purolator part number manual, I wonder if they're working on removing Fram?
And before anyone asks, it completely slipped my mind to check the next aisle to see if they're carrying Purolator air filters....
