Purolator PureONE PL10241 cut open

This came off a riding mower with a 24HP B&S ELS Intek.

The filter was used with Castrol HD 30W and run about 30 hours.

No rips or tears, pleat spacing looks good, no excess potting, and the ADBV was supple. Looks like a good one!

Date code is F11B03D1 for November 3, 2010.

Maybe the older P1's almost flawless? I have a P1 30001 dated from 2007 on my Toyota truck and can't wait to see if the media still holds up.

That looks about as good as you can hope for in any filter. It is interesting that the pleat spacing immediately on either side of the crimped seam is not set as widely as on the Purolator Classic filters that have shown up with media tears in this area.

I have that exact same filter on my lawn tractor now. That one looks great, low hours but still fantastic.

Filters like that are why Puro's were the darling of BITOG for years.

It looks good b/c it came off a 24HP Lawn mower.

I do not think are as hard on a oil filter as a Automotive Engine.

This was my first thought. I imagine flow rates are pretty low... That filter looks like it could flow a lot more oil than this application calls for.
