PROTEC PXL 57060, 5k CUT OPEN

Good Morning folks. This filter was off a 23’ Durango with HEMI engine. Had 5k on Safety Kleen 0w20 synthetic I did this oil hange back early last October. Friends daily driver. 90% highway driving. 64k on vehicle also. Doesn’t look too bad for Purolator. Date code was November 4, 2023 when I installed it.


In/on: a OG ULTRA XG 2 and some HPL 5w30 premium motor oil.

Thanks great pics! Not torn but that wide pleat seems like a trouble spot. Same on your other c&p.

^^^ Yes, that bent over wide pleat is begging for some media tearing.

Louvers are actually wide open! Proves Puro-Fail-U-Later can do it if they want to.

I recently bought a PureOne on sale at Menards in a pinch. Went through 10 filters to find the best one and the louvers are half open compared to that one. I’m gonna return it.

Solid choice. I’d never buy a newer P1. Brother still has the yellow grit ones for his LS stuff with holes instead of louvers
