Cut this one open. It was on a 2004 Silverado 5.3 for 5000 miles. Everything is as it should be, the folds in the media are securely attached to the caps, both top and bottom. Seam is glued nice and tight. Lots of media in the filter.

Nothing broken here, and I currently have another PL25288 on the truck now. Will open it up when it comes off the truck this fall.

Another good looking filter. Has the signs of concern at the seam. Why can't they just tighten the seam area up with another pleat or two and be done with it! It would solve all these issues we've seen with the Puro's.

Great idea. I'd think bunching up some pleats closer together near the seam, closer spacing than the rest of the pleats, would work just fine. Pleats don't have to be perfectly even all around.
