Purolator L14610

Off of a friend's 07' Mitsubishi Outlander. Filter was ran for 3500 miles ( 2months). Now that's one fine photo there. Looks like Purolator has it's QC back on line. Any idea when this oil filter was produced/purchased?

Oh my GOD!!! A Purolator oil filter with a reasonable OFI and tank the savior, it didn't tear. It must be a stealth filter of another make. All Purolators tear, EVERYBODY knows that.

Looks good. I believe the ones made in 2011 and before were probably not as susceptible to the tearing issue. I know the older ones I've cut open were all fine, but the newer ones had tears.

Nice looking filter. Looks like spacing near the seam was always an issue, so maybe there is a change in media in the newer ones also.
