Purolator Boss

I purchased a Boss PBL25288 from Amazon this weekend. Mine has the pill shaped holes on the baseplate , other filters ive seen same model has the round holes instead. Did i get a knockoff or did Purolator change the baseplate ?

I've used them, an excellent filter. They are a bit overpriced. You got an authentic one. Counterfeits are labeled 'Boss Babe'

Some filters have the Motorcraft pill style inlet holes.

Well when i prefiled it the oil soaked through instantly , so it must be legit...

Many Purolators have those oblong holes.

Just watch out for a slit in the ADBV
